How To Easily Make Flowers Out Of Paper!
13.12.2021 17:06 UhrCut flowers are somehow a tragic affair: you put something so beautiful in a vase, only to watch it wither and dry up. But plastic flowers are usually not a good substitute either – they pretend to be real, but when you look at them you only think of the factory in the Far East where they were made.
Therefore, we want to introduce you to an alternative, which you can easily make yourself with a little skill and patience: Paper flowers!
Variation #1
Fold a square piece of red paper several times from corner to corner, and then cut it as shown in the video – so you get a multi-leaf Petal. Repeat the process 3 – 4 times.
Fold a strip of yellow paper first lengthwise and then from one short side to the other, then cut it in half again and again with scissors; the cuts should be close to each other.
Wrap a piece of green paper around a wooden stick and glue the end piece so that the paper doesn’t curl back up – this is how the flower stem is made.
Now apply glue to the prepared yellow paper strip and wrap it several times around the upper end of the flower stem – this is the flower calyx.
Now put the red petals through the stem and push them up to the calyx.
Variation #2
Connect six strips of red paper at the ends with glue and fold the resulting band lengthwise as shown in the video.
Attach the resulting rose petal to a wooden stick with glue.
Cut leaves from green paper and glue them to the wooden stick as well.
Variation #3
Fold a square piece of yellow paper several times from side to side and then from one corner to the other. Then cut it as shown in the video – so you get a multi-petaled paper flower.
Put a cut between each two petals to separate them.
Now glue two leaves together to create a funnel-shaped flower (see video).
Wrap a piece of orange paper tightly to form a roll.
Now fold a strip of orange paper first lengthwise and then from one short side to the other, then cut it in half again and again with scissors; the cuts should also be close together, as in variation #1.
Apply glue to the paper strip and wrap it several times around the top of the orange roll to form the stigma and pistil; poke the whole thing through the hole in the center of your funnel flower.
Wrap a piece of green paper around a wooden stick and tape the end piece so that the paper doesn’t curl back up – this is the flower stem.
Cut the stem open at one end as shown in the video and put the stigma/stamp + flower into the stem.
Cut leaves from green paper and glue them to the flower stem.
Variation #4
Cut out ten circular discs from red paper.
Fold them several times and trim them as shown in the video.
Now fold them in a funnel shape.
Cut out a star-shaped base from red paper and glue the funnel-shaped flower pieces onto it until you have a bushy flower.
Cut leaves from green paper.
Wrap a piece of green paper around a wooden stick and tape the end piece so that the paper doesn’t curl back up. That’s the the flower stem; tape the leaves to it.
Cut the stem open at one end as shown in the video and glue the flower to the stem.
