From Old To New! How To Restore Your Old Bike!

If you grew up in the 80s, you might remember the magical moment when you finally got that long-awaited BMX bike as a present. Of course, these bicycles were designed to withstand a lot – nevertheless, we tried to keep our bike undamaged for as long as possible because we just loved it so much.

That’s why it’s completely incomprehensible to us children of the 80s how some people can throw their bikes lovelessly (and disorderly) into ditches or chain them to railings and let them rust away. Fortunately, with a little manual skill, it’s not that difficult to become a bike rescuer. We’ll show you how!

Bicycle repair made easy

Our video shows you in detail what needs to be done. But here’s a rough summary, which shows that it’s not complicated at all.

1. completely disassemble the bike once.

2. collect small parts and clean them, if necessary sand down the frame (in case of rust), work on hard-to-reach places with sandpaper.

3. Repaint the frame with spray paint.

4. Assemble the bike bit by bit, replacing old screws.
