3 Star Wars Craft Ideas That Will Delight True Fans!
13.12.2021 17:35 UhrEven well over 40 years after the release of the first film, Star Wars has lost none of its trans-generational appeal – even if we can all agree that the junk character Jar Jar Binks almost single-handedly brought down the franchise empire.
If you’re a huge fan of Star Wars but don’t want to buy plastic merchandise made in China, you can simply make your own memorabilia.
Here are three ideas for you…
Hair like Princess Leia
On a piece of cardboard, pre-draw two circles that you cut out and and wrap with brown crepe paper.
Cut a number of about 20 wool threads of 11 inches each and lay them out side by side to form a strand.
Spread glue on the crepe paper wrapped discs and wind the wool strand in a circle starting from the center.
Take a headband and wrap it with wool as well.
Now glue the two wool discs to the outer sides of the headband – the Princess Leia fake hair is ready!
R2D2
Spray a plastic bathroom trash can with metallic paint (the trash can should have the outline of the robot, for example, a half-round lid).
Fix the lid inside with tape so that it no longer swings.
Now paint on the technical details of R2D2 with a felt marker – our video shows you how.
Darth Vader table lamp
All you need is a black table lamp with a lampshade in the shape of Vader’s helmet. Now all you have to do is paint the outline of the “helmet face” or technical details with white paint (see video).
