Crazy Lifehacks With Bananas: You’ve Never Used The Fruit Like This Before!

Many people have childhood memories with bananas that are not always positive. Do you remember how you always had to fish brown-black, overripe bananas out of your lunch box at school, which mom had given you so that you would “eat something healthy for once”?

But you shouldn’t do the fruit an injustice, because bananas can work wonders – as our following, admittedly a bit freaky, lifehacks prove!

Gloss for the lips

Put some honey and sugar on a banana and coat your lips with it, and you’ve got yourself a natural lip gloss substitute.

Peeling for pros

Ripe bananas you just have to squeeze a little lengthwise to loosen the peel. If you want to cut them further, just pinch them at the top and you can pull them apart lengthwise.

Cockroach Trap

Separate the bottom and top of a plastic bottle. Place a rolled up strip of banana peel in the bottom piece and fill it with water. Now place the other part of the bottle in the water with the opening facing down, creating a funnel.

Sweet dip

Put two avocado halves, a banana and cocoa powder in a ziplock bag and crush the contents to make a delicious sweet dip.

Leaf Shine

You can rub dull plant leaves with the inside of a banana peel to give them a new shine.

Foot care

Take a “foot bath” by mashing bananas. Then wrap your feet in plastic bags, put socks over them and let it soak in.

Fly Trap

Use a fork to draw grooves in the inside of a piece of banana peel and pour some honey over it. Then clamp a clip to one end of the peel and hang the whole thing up with a piece of string.

Skin Care

Put some toothpaste and a banana cut into pieces in a small bowl and mash the whole thing into a paste, which you apply to chapped, dry areas of skin.
